Jun 05, 2018 Fix: Skyrim Failed to Initialize Renderer If the issue is with your Computer or a Laptop you should try using Reimage Plus which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. This works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption. Jul 16, 2013 Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm hoping someone can help me fix the issues i'm having with my Skyrim. Let me start by saying I've had Skyrim for over a year and have had no problems running it in the past. I haven't played it in a while and when I tried to run it today these issues presented themselves. My specs are an i7 3770k, 8 GB DDR3 1600, Radeon HD 6950 2GB. 'Failed to initialize renderer. Your display doesn't support the selected resolution. Please set a different resolution in Skyrim's Launcher under Display Settings.' I should note that before the message appeared the launcher reviewed my performance capabilities and said automatically set it. Feb 23, 2012 For The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Help! Skyrim won't open!' It says: 'Failed to initialize renderer. Your display doesn't support the selected resolution. Then it probably isn't a Skyrim problem. Try the Windows settings for your display and see if you can magic some resolutions. Jan 11, 2016 Hope this helped. Remember to NOT go to steamapps - common - Skyrim for the INI. Jul 15, 2016 I recently tried to play Skyrim again but I was unable to due to this error: Failed to initialize renderer, Bad Adapter number or no adapter found. This was pretty weird since the last time I played was less than a month ago and I haven't changed anything since.
Ok someone please help me. So i was able to get Skyim to get up and running finally. I plugged an HDMI cord in so i could play it on my TV, however i mistakenly plugged it in while the game was running, specifically on the menu screen. This caused the screen to tear. I've had this problem before, and simply quitting the game and starting it up again always fixed the problem, but now when i start the game back up i get the message

Nov 11, 2011 Congrats, you can probably run Skyrim, scroll up to see where the assumed graphics settings will be. If you’re barely on the edge, you may want to reconsider. If you’re in doubt, don’t risk wasting the money and just play the console version that is guaranteed to work well.

I should note that before the message appeared the launcher reviewed my performance capabilities and said automatically set it at Ultra High Quality. Just to be sure i set it to low quality and still got the same message, so it cant be that. I literally just updated my graphics driver around 2 hours ago so it doubt its that either. I read a bit on this and saw that the ini. files should not be 'read only' and when i checked on them the SkyrimPrefs.ini. was indeed 'read only', however after i changed it i still got the same 'Failed to initialize renderer'. So whats the problem? Someone please help. THis is the fourth time ive been on the forms for help getting this game to run. Thank you.
Would love to hear your advice on my last remaining issue/cobfusion with the H264. Free analog recorder software. It's only been a year since Miggy's last post, but I am wondering if you've ever received an answer about the Native 'interlaced' question? Appreciate all the info I get from regular users. It's strange because the Media Express manual does not even show the 'Native' (non-progressive) Video Format as an option, but that is at the top of the list in the Project Video Format in my version.I have stumbled on your post because I discovered a strange phenomenon when capturing 'Native' (non-progressive) via the H.264 Pro Recorder.
